Thom joined The McCarty Company in October 1989 as an Architect and Architectural Team Leader. He specializes in mental health, healthcare and higher education facility design. He possesses valuable insight into the federal regulations and codes governing the design, construction, and licensing of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, and related healthcare facilities.

His over 30 years of design experience includes new construction as well as renovation projects up to $55 million. He is an expert in the design of institutional, healthcare, commercial and educational facilities. Mr. Reese also served as Architectural Team Leader for the Day-Brite Capri/Omega Lighting Center in Tupelo, which was the first LEED Certified Lighting Center in the world.

Licensed in 1980, Karen’s years of experience and knowledge of interior programming and space allocations are an invaluable support to the SD and DD phases of design. Karen has a strong focus on specifying durable / sustainable architectural finishes.
