Annette Fortman Vise, AIA, MBA

Architect / Jackson Office Director

Annette Fortman Vise leads McCarty’s Jackson office. She has designed projects ranging from small houses to municipal complexes. She understands that the spaces we live in shape our lives, and that public health and the built environment are inextricably intertwined. She endeavors to create buildings and environments which foster well-being.

Annette is civic-minded, lending her efforts to many worthy causes. In the wake of Katrina, Vise led the effort by AIA Mississippi, which assessed 1,500 homes at no charge to the owners. For her efforts, Vise was named outstanding member of the year.

Annette has a passion for affordable housing. She seeks to make communities stronger through efficient layout, innovative integration of services, and most importantly, through design based on a deep understanding of what people need at the most fundamental level of their lives, both at home and in the community.
