Andrew was born in Kentucky and later moved to Texas. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Navy Seabee. His military career took him on seven deployments across the globe, including Afghanistan, Spain, Japan, Samoa, Tonga, Central America, South America, Guam, and Africa. After 12 years of service, Andrew was given an honorable discharge from the Navy. Following his military career, he married his wife, Emily, and worked for a contractor before eventually joining McCarty.

Andrew and his wife have one daughter. Outside work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and taking joy rides with his family.
